Mapscale arrow would be better pointing upward

The arrow indicating the width of the screen in real world distances is aimed to give the pilot a reference of distance in the map image.

I would suggest to let the arrow point upward.

Reason is : In most occasions when you need such a reference during flight you are in glide mode and your plane points upward along the course. Having the real world distance of the height of the screen would then provide a much easier reference.
