Description
System: HP4700 running Windows Mobile 5. Problem: Installed XCSoar using XCSoar-WM5.cab v6.2.2 for XScale CPU. I first noticed that the windows start bar remains visible at the top of the screen while XCSoar is running masking the top row of info boxes. Then, when I quit XCSoar it would hang up every time forcing me to do a soft reset. Actions: Did a hardware reset of the PDA and re-installed XCSoar on a clean system as described above but found the same problem. Repeated a number of times with the same results. Also tried the installation software for "older CPUs", again with the same result. After another hardware reset I then installed the previous version of XCSoar using XCSoar-WM5.cab v6.1.5 for XScale CPU. This ran fine without any problems and did not lockup when quiting. Result: I am now back on v6.1.5 since v6.2.2 won't run properly on my system. Please help!!

you can find all previous releases at http://download.xcsoar.org/releases/
please test with the 6.2.1 version to confirm that the "bug" was introduced between those two versions.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. I tried XCSoar.exe v6.2.3 and it worked fine. I then installed the XCSoar-WM5.cab v6.2.3 but found it to have the same problem as the v6.2.2 cab installation. I then tried XCSoar-WM5.cab v6.2.1 and it also worked fine. Looks like there is a problem with the v6.2.2 and v6.2.3 cab installation files that wasn't present in earlier versions. What's the advantage to installing the cab file over simply running the executable? Best regards, Rolf.

Does 6.2.1 work?
Does the 6.2.2 EXE file work? (Copy to SD card, launch with file explorer)
