Airspace warnings - map display AND alarm sound, NO warnings window.

Description

The area where I am flying is quite complicated. I often have to fly near restricted airspace above my plane, and on the side of my plane. It is really usefol to get an audible warning before violations, but the problem is, that if I set the menu for audible warnings, also the warning window opens automatically. The text on this window is too small for me to be red while flying, and the window blocks the map display. That causes me to acknowlidge the warning before I can find out, which airspace I am about to enter in - not always easy with these touchscreen phones while thermailing.

I would prefer an option, where there is an audible warning AND the map display shows the violated airspace with a color change. The warning (NEAR) sound should be different with the airspace violation (INSIDE). Also, the warning (NEAR) could make the airspace color change blinking, and violation (INSIDE) constantly on.

I find this a perfect idea, I'm experiencing the same problems. Especially flying near or in between 2 CTR area's with multiple TMA rings around it: the screen fills up with lists of warnings.
The manual states, by the way, that while circling the warning will not be repeated even after the repeat warning time. On my Android it still does. I was running 1.6.3b at that time.

I added a similar request today, ticket #1835. I then found Milestone XCSoar Wishlist page that led me to this ticket. The first part, change color of airspace has already been implemented. For the other items my solution was to stay with what is already there, i.e. warning window but to allow the user to change the height of the warning window so that the map area where the glider is flying is still visible below the warning window. Without the warning window there is no intuitive way to understand what is going on. You have to learn and remember what the different sounds and flashes mean.

Please let me know if you can live with this solution, I think it might be easier to implement because it does not change how the current warning works just how much the warning window covers the screen. Maybe we can get this off the wishlist and start to get the full function of the airspace warning feature working in a way that is more useful to us.
