Another suggested improvement:
I notice from the maps that while on tasks the route seems to direct me to the waypoint itself, rather than the edge of the cylinder around that waypoint.
Ideally the route function would calculate the shortest route by linking the closest points on the edge of the cylinder rather than the centre point.
The flymaster does this and I think the flytec 6020 too.

this seems to be a very important feature for PG pilots, but I think glider pilots might benefit from it too.

I'd like to second this. I just evaluated XCSoar as a potential alternative to the very costly C-Pilot Pro for the Swiss Paragliding League (I'm their technical advisor). While XCSoar feels very nice to operate in general, this particular feature - or it's lack - is a clear deal-breaker.
