The Status menu option should mention which of the 2 COM ports is being used

to be honest I'm not sure if this is possible... We are now merging the information that is coming from the available ports. For example if you have a vario on port A and flarm on port B the information will get merged and there is no real way to tell where the information came from. It is not impossible to implement but adds a certain overhead and we don't think that the advantage is big enough to justify that overhead.
